COVID-19 Procedures

To keep shoppers and volunteers safe, RAFS will be following new rules & procedures:

  • Only 3 shoppers in the store at once.

  • Only one person per household in the store.

  • Shoppers who are waiting outside shall maintain a 6' distance between themselves and other. RAFS prefers that shoppers wait in their vehicle, if possible.

  • Shoppers must sanitize their hands when entering and checking in at desk.

  • Everyone must wear a mask (we will have masks available for those who do not have one).

  • All shoppers must follow the same path around the store.

  • After you have selected your food, shoppers will bring their cart to the storeroom door where a volunteer will be there to pack food in bags.

  • Shoppers will exit the storefront and walk to the warehouse door to receive their bagged groceries.

We understand that some people will not feel comfortable coming inside the storefront to shop. We have two alternate options. First, we will still have pre-packed bags of food that you can request upon arrival. Second, you can assign a “Proxy Shopper,” someone you designate to shop on your behalf. To assign a proxy shopper, just call to let us know at 431-0144 or send a note with your proxy shopper giving them permission to shop for you.

Finally, we ask that shoppers return any reusable RAFS bags. We will have a large box outside the storefront door, where the bags will remain untouched until they can be re-used safely.

Thanks for understanding!
